FAQ

Questions, plainly answered.

Who is Kindred for?
Kindred is for neurodivergent adults (autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, dyslexic, dyspraxic and more), people living with chronic illness, disabled people, and anyone who has felt like an outsider on mainstream dating apps. You don't need a diagnosis to join — self-identification is welcome.
Do I have to disclose my disability or neurotype?
Never. You choose what to share, when, and with whom. The onboarding asks about communication, energy, and values — disclosure of any specific condition is always optional and always controlled by you.
Is there swiping?
No. There is no swiping, no like counts, no streaks, and no read-receipts. Matches are surfaced thoughtfully, with context, and at a pace that respects your capacity.
How does AI fit in?
We use AI as a research assistant to help surface compatibility patterns across your questionnaire responses. It does not decide who you see or rank people. Final review and any sensitive judgments stay with our human team.
How accessible is the app itself?
Accessibility is a baseline, not a feature. We build with screen readers, keyboard navigation, reduced motion, captions, plain language, and configurable density in mind. If something isn't working for you, we want to hear about it.
How do you handle privacy?
Health, neurotype, and identity details are encrypted and only shared with people you explicitly choose. We don't sell data and we don't use your information to train external models. Kindred is funded by members, not advertisers.
When does it open?
We're inviting a small first cohort soon. Join the waitlist and we'll write — once, when it's your turn.
